President Donald Trump revealed on the weekend that he has invited the family of a Guard member killed last week to come to the White House.
He added that he spoke to her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

The commander-in-chief explained he’s discussed a visit to the White House for the parents of both individuals of the West Virginia National Guard.
“I stated: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a tough thing, come to the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to her,” the president informed reporters. “And similarly with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”

Attendees came together over the weekend at a local school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.
Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the West Virginia National Guard as part of the president’s government program to support policing efforts in Washington DC.
Remembering Sarah Beckstrom
“She was the kind of student that instructors wished for. She carried herself with calm resilience, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that lifted those around her,” the principal, the head of Beckstrom’s alma mater, told the press. “She was kind, caring and always willing to support those in need.”

Officials have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and two counts of violent assault while armed.
The event prompted the Trump administration to halt asylum applications and halt issuing entry permits to owners of Afghan passports.

Andrew Wolfe, a resident of the city, began his service in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, as reported by the news agency.
He continues to receive treatment and is “fighting for his life”, West Virginia governor the governor said on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.
Attorney general Pam Bondi informed a news show that she planned to speak to his relatives.

Beckstrom, from Summersville, graduated from her high school in June 2023 and enlisted soon after, serving as a law enforcement officer with honor, as stated by the state guard.
“She had a lot of goodness and she certainly had bravery,” Morrisey told the gathering at the memorial. “Though her life was cut short, she has created a legacy that’s going to be remembered always.”
