In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.

The questline centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Material

Players who finish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Update

This update also brings the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
